BOSLA Awards

The BOSLA was established during 1970s to share best practices amongst professionals and resources amongst the libraries for the benefit of users of their institutes. BOSLA has been in the forefront of L&IS profession in addressing various issues faced by the librarians and providing a platform to interact and exchange their thoughts with professional community and to organise conferences, seminars etc, for capacity building. The objective of the association is to encourage individual professionals and to promote the advancement and excellence in the practice of Librarianship.

One of the objectives of the BOSLA is to motivate inventions, best practices, and use of technology to enhance library services. Intending to encourage the pursuit of excellence in 'Librarianship', the Executive Committee has decided to institute two awards in the name of Prof. M. M. Kaganurmath and Dr. B. S. Kademani who immensly contributed for the development of BOSLA.  They also generously donated to give away awards every year to distinguished young and dynamic professionals as recognition and motivation. These awards are
