Prof. Muttayya Koganuramath was born on 1st June, 1953 in Ichhangi village in Savanur Taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka State. He obtained his Master of Library and Information Science in 1984 from Karnatak University, Dharwad with First Rank and Gold Medal.

Shri Omprkash Bhendigeri was born on 10th November 1951 in Belgaum, Karnataka State. He did Bachelor of Science from Karnataka Science College, Dharwad in 1975. He completed his B.Lib.Sc in 1976 and M.Lib.Sc. in 1988 from Karnataka University, Dharwad.
