BOSLA - Koganuramath Best Librarian Award - 2018

Preamble:

The BOSLA was established during 1970s to share best practices amongst professionals and resources amongst the libraries for the benefit of users of their institutes. BOSLA has been in the forefront of L&IS profession in addressing various issues faced by the librarians and providing a platform to interact and exchange their thoughts with professional community and to organise conferences, seminars etc, for capacity building. The objective of the association is to encourage individual professionals and to promote the advancement and excellence in the practice of Librarianship.   

 

The contributions of Prof. M. M. Koganuramath, as a professional, librarian, teacher, research guide, colleague, adviser and as a leader to the Association are outstanding and he has initiated several programs under the banner of BOSLA during his tenure as a Chairman.  It is his generosity, and a great gesture, apart from professional contributions he has donated Rupees One Lakh towards organising capacity building programs and to encourage BOSLA members to excel in their career with adept knowledge. 

 

One of the objectives of the BOSLA is to motivate inventions, best practices, use of technology in enhancing the library services and research to promote their application for the development of professional practices. With a view to promote the pursuit of excellence in the field of 'Librarianship', the Executive Committee has decided to institute an award in the name of Prof. M. M. Koganuramath and give away the award every year to distinguished contributor to the profession as a recognition and encouragement to professionals.

 

The selection of the candidate for this Award will be made by a selection committee based on the guidelines.

Submissions: The Guidelines and Application Form (DOC) can be downloaded from below links. The filled-in hard copy shall be mailed to the office of the General Secretary, BOSLA along with the copies of evidences.
